Janis Bowley was born in London, England and has been a cultural worker and arts educator since the 1980's. Her career includes: visual arts exhibitions, arts projects (often in collaboration), arts centre management, lecturing, art tutoring, community development, and writing. She has lived and worked in the UK, Canada, Japan, Australia.
